Yummy Yorkshire founders Jeremy and Louise Holmes have been celebrating again after scooping yet another national award win; this time for our newly expanded food and drink offering.
The ice cream parlour and café was voted as ‘Independent Outlet of the Year’ in the Lunch Business Grab & Go Awards which celebrate success in the eating out of home market.
Described as an awards scheme which ‘really gets to the heart of what makes the lunchtime trade tick’, the event highlights people’s culinary tastes, alongside the innovations of organisations in the UK.
Now in its third year, the awards scheme features a range of categories, including ‘Best Coffee Experience’ and ‘Marketing Award’.
Judges voted Yummy Yorkshire as ‘ Independent Outlet of the Year’ for illustrating growth within the business as well as displaying a strong food and drink offering. They also recognised the business’ reputation for innovative and 100% natural flavours.
More than 200 people from the food to go industry were at the London Art House to cheer on the winners at the glittering awards ceremony on September 23.
Speaking about their award win Louise Holmes said: “Wow, we actually did it… against some very stiff and well established competition. It’s great to receive recognition for our vision of turning the ice cream parlour into an eatery in its own right, serving a wide range of freshly cooked dishes all day long.”
