We are thrilled to have received four awards for our ice cream and a prestigious nomination in two regional awards schemes.
We have been shortlisted for a prestigious Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Award in the ‘Taste of Yorkshire’ category along with five other regional food producers.
The Welcome to Yorkshire awards are the largest celebration of tourism excellence in the UK and recognise and reward the very best of the industry throughout Yorkshire. There are 16 categories in total which include the best Yorkshire attractions, hotels, B&Bs, campsites and venues.
We have also scooped four wins for our ice cream flavours at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show. Our Vanilla and Strawberry flavours won first place in the Dairy Ice Cream category and were highly commended for having ‘an excellent flavour and texture’ and ‘beautiful taste’.
We were also successful in the New Dairy Product category scooping a first for Yorkshire Brack & Jam and third for Carrot & Cardamom ice cream.
Jeremy Holmes, Co-founder of Yummy Yorkshire, says: “Winning four awards for our produce while also securing a nomination in the White Rose Awards is a major achievement and we are incredibly proud.
“The Great Yorkshire Show is England’s premier agricultural show and we knew that competition would be strong in the ice cream categories with entries from ice cream manufacturers all over the North of England so we are delighted to have won.
“To have also been nominated in the White Rose Awards, which recognise the achievements of different tourism business across the region, is fantastic for a small, family run business like ours. We are looking forward to attending the awards ceremony later this year to find out if we have been successful.”
