To coincide with the arrival of that famous French bike race in Yorkshire we will be opening up our land as a temporary campsite to help cater for the thousands of visitors who will descend on the area when the world-famous cycle race arrives.
The opening stage of the tour will begin in the first weekend of July and travel through Yorkshire for two days. Our farm is just four miles from the route of stage two of the Grand Départ, which will pass from York to Sheffield on 6 July.
Our pop-up campsite is available from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th inclusive, and will offer 6m x 6m non-electric pitches for tents or campervans at £50 a night* with free parking and flushable male and female toilets. The field, ear-marked for the campsite will hold up to 50 pitches but more is available if required.
An added bonus for campers is our on-site ice cream parlour and coffee shop with a breakfast menu on offer- ideal for campers, along with essential food items which are available to buy including bread, milk, eggs and more! We also offer packed lunches which can be pre-ordered.
Speaking about the pop-up campsite and event Jeremy says: “This is one of the world’s greatest sporting events and we are excited that it is passing so close to us here at Yummy Yorkshire. An estimated 120,000 people are expected to turn up for the iconic Holme Moss climb, so demand for camp sites is high. Thousands of pitches are already booked up, both at established campsites and temporary pop-up sites, so we thought it made sense to use some of our land to provide more camping opportunities.
“We want to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity and hope that others will come and party with us during an unforgettable weekend.”
