Yummy Yorkshire was born in April 2007, at the start of one of the wettest summers on record.
However, founders Jeremy and Louise Holmes didn’t let this little setback stop them and went on to sell a record amount of their luxurious creamy ice cream. In fact, Yummy Yorkshire ice cream proved so popular that at the end of the summer, they decided they should probably stop selling ice cream from the farm gates and build a proper shop.
And so they converted two redundant calf pens into a small, rustic ice cream parlour and coffee shop, which opened its doors in July 2008. Soon though, even this wasn’t big enough and in January 2012, an even bigger and better ice cream parlour was opened with a little help from a DEFRA match funding grant.
Since then Louise and Jeremy haven’t looked back and in addition to finding new ways of improving customer facilities on the farm, they are continually developing new ice cream flavours and expanding their network of distributors and stockists.

We’re passionate about ice cream and work hard to produce the best quality ice cream possible. So we’re extremely proud to have achieved the following ‘pats on the back’ and industry recognition for Yummy Yorkshire.
